TIP workshops get IRTE accreditation
TIP’s network of workshops throughout the UK and Ireland have achieved ‘IRTE Workshop Accreditation’ to demonstrate commitment in delivering high levels of service to its customers.

The accreditation is a ‘best practice audit of workshop standards’ and follows an independent review of procedures and practices at TIP workshops by official scheme auditors over a number of weeks. Aspects of the workshop under scrutiny included workshop cleanliness, tooling and procedures, record keeping, document compliance and MOT pass rates.
The training of its mechanics on the latest trailer and heavy goods vehicle technologies, combined with an emphasis on ‘quality control’ of the activities within the workshop environment and a strong culture of health and safety, were key drivers in making this prestigious accreditation possible for TIP.

The accreditation sees TIP’s workshops added to the ‘IRTE Workshop Accreditation Register’, which provides useful information for transport operators on accredited maintenance providers’ services, facilities, test pass rates, HSE notices and more.
The recognition should provide ‘peace-of-mind’ to operators hiring trailers or trucks from TIP and those who have their own/third party assets maintained at a TIP workshop, or indeed on-site by our team of mobile technicians.

IRTE Workshop Accreditation is a scheme administered by the Institute of Road Transport Engineers, a professional body dedicated to the road transport industry and part of the Society of Operations Engineers (SOE). Accreditation is valid for three years.
Congratulations to all those at TIP workshops who have a played a part in making the accreditation happen.
